Day 3
Sunday June 17 2012
Jambo that means hello in Swahili we are learning that
language today and through out the trip. Today I was the third one to get up.
My mom said that she would teach us some words tomorrow when we went to bed. So
today I got a little preview lesson kidogo that means short, little or, small
so I learned many more words even though mimi ni mwanafunzie wa ki Swahili that
men t that I am was a student of Swahili I would say more but, I am not
teaching the whole language to you in one letter. So today we went to Stone
town the cobble stone narrow roads were beautiful sort of and the stores were
packed with souvenirs for tourists. Eventually we got to a lunch place sat down
with the two paintings we bought and the dress and bought some drinks. I had my
first Coke Cola and now I crave them so badly. When we came back from Stone
Town we went swimming. After some random swim time I my brother and my cousin
Tyler were jumping for tennis balls. Ball after ball after ball we missed
caught or it was just a really horrible throw at the end Tyler won with the
most tennis balls caught he caught about 10 out of about 15 so it was a good
score compared to mine. When that was over we had dinner pizza amazing pizza.
That night I couldn’t go to bed my fan just kept on waking me up so I ended up
about past out because I just couldn’t stay up much longer.
(P.S) always take the air-conditioning.
Learning Swahili, shopping, having a good time with brother and cousin, enjoying pizza, trying to sleep -- interesting summary of your day, Jake.
